The Council gives notice under Sections 14 and 15 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991), being satisfied that all traffic should be restricted or prohibited to ensure that resurfacing works can be undertaken in safety. The works will require the following road to be closed:
A45 Birmingham Road, Meriden – closed from the boundary of Warwickshire County Council to the boundary of Coventry City Council between Monday 16th December to Thursday 19th December 2019 (10pm – 6am reduced hours each night). Alternative routes for traffic will be signed via B4104 Birmingham Road, B4104 Meriden Hill, B4104 Main Road and B4104 Birmingham Road.
Informatory warning signs will be deployed, not less than seven days before any particular road will be closed. Access for emergency services will be maintained through the restriction. Pedestrian and vehicle access to all properties within the restriction will be maintained along defined routes throughout the period of the closure.
