Election briefing for candidates
We are holding a briefing for election candidates ahead of the forthcoming elections on Thursday 4th May. The briefing will take place on Tuesday 21 February at 6pm in the Civic Suite, Manor Square, Solihull, B91 3QB. If you are in touch with any prospective candidates I would be grateful if you could pass on the invitation. If any candidates are planning to attend, please can you ask them to let me know. If candidates would prefer to join remotely, please can they also let me know so that I can send them joining instructions.
Voter ID – public awareness
You may have seen some publicity, both locally and nationally, regarding the new requirement for voters to show photo ID in polling stations. We are currently in the process of printing posters (A4 and A3) and voter information booklets (A5) and will soon be in a position to send these out to you. It would be really helpful if you could display these posters on your parish notice boards and have voter information booklets available for residents. Please can you reply to this email and let me know how many posters/booklets you need and the delivery address – please use the table below.
