The Works
Solihull Council will be carrying out improvement works on the Fillongley Road Bridge which spans the A45.The works are expected to start in January 2018 and are due to be completed by the end of March 2019.
The bridge, built in 1958, has had nearly 60 years of constant, heavy use and following a routine structural assessment, it now needs replacing in order to last for a further 60 years. Balfour Beatty has been appointed as the main contractor to carry out the works on behalf of the Council.
Engagement Events
We will be holding two engagement sessions at Meriden Library, for people to find out more and ask any questions they may have.
These will be held on:
- Thursday 9 November 2pm – 7pm
- Saturday 11 November 10am – 1pm
