Please find attached a notice of works detailing lane and road closures on and around Northway Island, being carried out by LM (Laing O’Rourke and J. Murphy & Sons) on behalf of HS2. These traffic measures will allow us to safely divert utilities in this area, in preparation for the improvement and expansion of sections of the existing road network later in the year.

These works will include:
• Lane closures from Monday 6 April to Friday 10 April, and again from Tuesday 14 April for approximately 3 weeks, on Northway Island and the B4438 and A452
• Temporary closure of the entrance and exit for Birmingham Business Park, off Northway Island, from Friday 10 April to Tuesday 14 April
Vehicle and pedestrian access to all businesses on Birmingham Business Park will be maintained throughout our works via Progress Way.

Additionally, we previously notified you about overnight road and lane closures on the A452 northbound and A446 southbound, which concluded on Monday 20 January. You can read our previous post here. Following the completion of our access roads off the A452 and A446, and speed camera installation, we need to carry out a continued series of overnight surveys in this area.
To carry out this work safely, we’ll install temporary overnight road and lane closures on the following roads:
• Road closure from Monday 6 April to Thursday 9 April on the A446 northbound and southbound
• Lane closures from Monday 6 April to Thursday 9 April on the A446 southbound and A452 northbound
Signed diversion routes will be in place for road closures along the A452 northbound and southbound. Our working hours will be 8pm to 6am, but our contractors may be on site up to an hour before and after those times to set up and close down the site.
