  1. Silverline

Loneliness can impact the older generation at any time of the year, but with winter months approaching and the current Covid situation, means there is a higher chance of this occurring. We therefore wanted to promote Silverlines telephone service for older people:

  • The Silverline 24 hour line – Need help? Call us ANYTIME on: 0800 4 70 80 90 -The Silver Line is the only free confidential helpline providing information, friendship and advice to older people, open 24 hours a day, every day of the year. People call us just for a chat, to say Good Night or Good Morning to someone, or tell us how their day was. Others call for information, seek advice about something, or share a concern or worry.
  • Telephone Friendship – We also offer telephone friendship where we match volunteers with older people based on their interests
  • Silver Circles – Group calls of 6-8 where people can share their interests
  • Silver Connects – Provides older people with support, advice, and help with connecting to local services
