Overnight closure of A452 northbound slip road
BBV have been significantly reconfiguring the Junction of the A446 Stonebridge Road and A452 Chester Road near Birmingham Business Park. The new bridge over the M42 is already taking some vehicular traffic using a temporary lane configuration. As we prepare for its permanent and intended configuration some remedial work is required such as removal of temporary safety barriers, surfacing works and additional electrical and drainage work. To minimise any disruption the work will only take place at night on weekdays but will involve a full closure over the weekend.
From 9pm until 5am between 27 March and 31 March then all day and all night from 9pm on 31 March until 5am on 3 April.

Traffic management on Hallmeadow/Station Road Roundabout
We recently contacted you to let you know that this work would commence on 6 March 2023. We now intend to start this work on 14 March 2023 to avoid having two sets of traffic management in this area at the same time.

Road Closures at Coleshill Heath Road
The new railway will be elevated on an embankment as it passes over Coleshill Heath Road. To ensure that our work does not affect the supply, a number of utilities will need to be diverted. In order to do this, a one-way system will be in operation from 3 April 2023 until 19 May 2023. Traffic heading southwest towards Chelmsley Wood will be able to travel down Coleshill Heath Road at a reduced speed limit of 30mph. Traffic heading northeast towards Coleshill will be diverted via Chester Road, over the motorways on Birmingham Road then south via Stonebridge Road towards Junction 4 of the M6 (See map on notification).
These restrictions will be in place all day every day. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Road closure A45 East Way Loop
The new railway will pass under the A45 as it approaches the new interchange station. This requires significant work to the road and its adjoining slip road known as ‘East Way’. Before these works can take place, a number of utilities need to be moved and diverted to make sure that our works do not have an impact on the supply.
This work will be done in two phases.
Phase one will require the total closure all day and all night of the ‘loop’ section that joins the westbound carriageway of the A45 to the East Way. This will be closed from 27 March until 21 April
Phase two will require the closure of the loop section and the west bound slip road leading towards Stonebridge Island but this time we will only need to close the road at night from 9pm until 5am between 27 April until 26 May.
A fully signed diversion will be in place for both phases.

Temporary daytime closure of Middle Bickenhill Lane
BBV will be diverting a major electricity cable near the site of the new railway to ensure our works do not interrupt the supply. In order to do this safely we will need to close the southern section of Middle Bickenhill Lane between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm from 20 March until 28 April. Access for residents will remain open at all time.
