HS2 Works Notification: Rescheduled weekend road closure around parts of Northway Island, and along the B4438 southbound and A452 northbound, from Friday 4 March to Monday 7 March 2022
In early February, we shared a notification of works with you outlining a temporary, weekend road closure around parts of Northway Island, and along short sections of the B4438 northbound and A452 northbound and southbound, from 8pm on Friday 18 February through to 5am on Monday 21 February.
Due to last weekend’s severe weather caused by Storm Eunice and Franklin, we took the decision to cancel the weekend road closure in its entirety. This was to ensure the safety of our workforce and road users, and to guarantee the highest quality of work.
This weekend road closure will now be installed around parts of Northway Island, and along short sections of the B4438 northbound and A452 northbound and southbound, from 8pm on Friday 4 March through to 5am on Monday 7 March. A signed diversion route will be in place for road users during the weekend road closure.
Throughout the closure, we will maintain access to all buildings and businesses in the area including Melbicks Garden Centre and Birmingham Business Park.
