Last night we welcomed guest speakers from HS2, and their early works contractor, LM, who provided an update on their works to create Britain’s new high speed railway. Their works closest to Meriden are concentrated near the A452, A45 and M42, which surround the site of the future HS2 Interchange Station; roughly between Melbicks Garden Centre and the NEC. LM will be working in this area for approximately the next two years and will be delivering a highways scheme to improve and expand the existing road network, as well as create new routes. This will also include the creation of four new highways bridges, and the creation of access junctions and site compounds on HS2 land. This work commenced in summer 2019.

We advise signing up to the HS2 in Solihull mailing list at, https://hs2insolihull.commonplace.is/, to receive live updates to your email regarding all their works being undertaken in Solihull including details of any traffic management which is required.

You can also get in touch with HS2 via their Helpdesk team all day, every day of the year on, 08081 434 434, and at, hs2enquiries@hs2.org.uk.

HS2 also host monthly community drop-in events in the local area where you can find out more about their works near the A452, A45 and M42, as well as community opportunities. For more information please visit, https://hs2insolihull.commonplace.is/schemes/proposals/upcoming-local-events/details

HS2 and LM will be returning to present to the Parish Council in the New Year.
